Chiang Mai – A Hike to Wat La Phat (Monk’s Trail)

Nature has beautifully taken over this hike and generously poured the best of its abundance. Wat La Phat is popularly known as “Monk’s Trail” and the hike through the pristine jungle takes you to a hidden temple deep in the forest. The temple is used by the monks to meditate and cut off from time to time from worldly chaos. The temple was built in the 13th century as a resting point for monks travelling to and from Doi Suthep Temple braving the mighty mountains. Stone figurines and traditional dragon gateway stairs welcome you to the temple.

Doi Inthanon National Park 

The national park is home to the highest mountain range in Thailand. Doi Inthanon National Park is a gateway to numerous tribal villages co-existing in Harmony for decades. The Queen and King Pagodas seat just before the summit and were built to commemorate the 60th birth anniversary and honour King Bhumibol Adulyadej and Queen Sirikit.
